Project Description
The NACRA 460 is designed and built for entry level and recreational sailors. While two youngsters can use it to its full potential with its trapeze and optional MNX sports spinnaker kit, this fun little cat can be sailed by adults too.
As with every NACRA catamaran, the layout of the deck area and general build is around simplicity and ease of sailing. The hulls have a non-slip surface to help the crew trapeze and the main sail is boom-less. The jib blocks are attached to the forward crossbeam for added space on the trampoline, and the crossbeams are recessed into the hulls for added rigidity. The hulls’ buoyancy is another important factor, keeping the boat on top of the water and minimising the risk of pitch-poling. For easy beaching, the boat has NACRA kick-up rudders and skegs (not centreboards) on the hulls.
Options on the standard package include a range of brightly coloured sails and the MNX sports spinnaker kit. With this, you can take the NACRA 460 Fun to its full potential.
