Project Description
The NACRA 570 Fun is the biggest skeg hulled catamaran in its class so provides great sailing yet can be beached with minimum fuss in shallower waters. The cat’s long buoyant hull forward of the crossbeams insures against pitch-poling in bigger winds and seas. Laid out for space and ease of use, this cat is good for fast cruising as well as blasting around the buoys.
While both crew need to use the trapeze to get the full potential of this beach launchable fun cat, it also has the space and sail area to sail well with three adults aboard for cruising should you wish to head out for a beach barbecue up the coast! The main is boom-less while the jib is sheeted to the front crossbeams to allow for ease of sailing and added space aft of the mast.
Built for shallower waters sailing, the NACRA 570 Fun has kick-up rudders as well as hull skegs for ease of launching and recovery as well as sailing in shallower waters. The boat has an MNX main that holds its shape in all conditions, maintaining performance at all points of sail.
